Manuel Reyes "Hija" guitar...

Does anyone know anything about Reyes' daughter now building guitars as well?

I was informed of this just last week by a friend in the USA. He emailed me a link of a Reyes "Hija" for sale in Japan.

Interesting to say the least ! ...

I suspect it was possibly a typo for "hijo." But speaking of Manuel Reyes Hijo, I can tell you that his guitars are every bit as good as his fathers'. In the book, "The Flamenco Guitar," by David George, there is a most extraordinary interview with Manuel Reyes in which he proves to be exceptionally articulate, and expresses views on guitar construction in a way that you will rarely hear. This interview was conducted in the sixties, and at one point Reyes says, "I would like a son to teach if it pleases God." Apparently it pleased God, and Reyes taught his son very well indeed. Incidentally, I highly recommend this book - it also has a great interview with Diego.
