Tomatito in Madrid

Hi all,

I just got back late last night from 5 days in Madrid. When I've downloaded some photos and settled back home I'll post some stuff about the fab time I had, but for now....

Tomatito was amazing - completely badass!!

And at one show a really great female guitarist - her falsetas were so cool!!

OK more soon.......

At last got round to getting my photos organised! I've put a few recommendations etc on the 'stories' page of our website. Some of the photos are a bit fuzzy because they were taken on my mobile, but you'll get the idea of what a great trip we had.

Take a look at www.flamencojourney.com/madrid.html

You'll see a little thankyou to Norman for arranging our trip to Pena Duende too.

Wow a 3 hour show, how lucky was that ! Glad to see it all worked out OK with the tickets. Your wesbite is looking fab, interesting and informative. I love the photo of you doing palmas for Gerardo Nuñez

I must update our website ( I know I know but have been so busy) specifically the flamenco in Granada article as we now have various new flamenco venues. Zoraya's is a beautiful big bar in the Albaicin which has flamenco on every night, no charge but you have to eat. The pizzas are a cheap option. Also Emilio along with Maya are performing at weekends at his school. I took my parents to both places and they thoroughly enjoyed both evenings. So much so we are going back to Zorayas tonight, also because they offered us a free meal for four after Harold reorganised the sound set up much to the surprise of my parents and to the delight of Raulito who was singing that night.

It looks like the Rubem Dantes percussion course is going ahead in the summer. Will let you know when its confirmed and hope to see you then.

Want to hear more stories about your Madrid trip. Glad you found La Solea.

Hey prima, that's great, glad to hear you had a good time! Nice website - interesting to see that your recommended bars and accomodations are the same as mine!
Have a look at the Holy Ham video in the Off Topic Section, you'll recognize the location of the first part. (unfortunately without the beautiful waitress)
