just listening to El reloj flamenco (flamenco clock a track from the cd and book does anyone have this method ??
man the guitarist is smoking ? i cant believe how cool the sound is of the guitar, and the musical ideas, i can listen to just the compas for ages on here, such great energy, just wondering has anyone an idea of how hes playing the falsetas from this track its a solea , yet an amazing piece.

The guitarist is Amir John Haddad.
I got a chance to speak to him when he was up with the group Radio Tarifa and he told me it was a Bellido.
Yeah, he's a cool player...modern yet traditional!
He is also an ud player and sometimes I think his technique/ideas are influenced by this.
He has a very nice solo album out called Pasando por Tabernas, which has the full versions of some of the falsetas you hear on the Understanding Flamenco CD.
Ricardo visited and jammed with him in Madrid and uploaded a short video clip of him.

thank you Ron, thats great information , the Ud is an amazing instrument, hes bellido sounds great must be a good one !!! as u mentioned a modern slant with tradional aire, i was really impressed, and there is a lot of great players.
ill have to dig up those albums, he really has his finger on the duende button , cheers again ron , much appreciated
