Lets stop this "discussion" here.
This is killing the spirit of the challenge already in advance and beginning to create bad energy.
The challenge is neither about the length of Todds and Florians Noodles, Nor about Florians ability or inability to play the hardest part of a piece.....show some respect to all the other participants and the the people who donated the prices, etc. and stop this before the challenge looses its main purpose please.

If Florian can play the whole piece until June, it is fine, he should participate like all others.
If not, it is also ok, it is his decision. But there should be no special rules for anybody. Just like the other beginner and intermediate challenges.
All other issues are totally irrelevant.

this sh1t is getting hot and heavy. soon, there will be people carrying machine guns in their guitar cases like in that movie with antonio banderas (you know he's andalucian?)

im curious about what started this whole rivalry/feud but im not going to ask any questions because i dont want to spark any fires.

Holy crap Ron. Free lessons from Sedlak? I already know the intro-I could be two lousy falsetas away from instruction from the master! Can I get in on this? Maybe there could be a third prize in case I'm in last place? A "g" string maybe?

I havent said much, and im not saying anything else except this.

The rules are the rules. if Flo doesnt have the whole peice recorded
by June 1, he's out.

If he is allowed to submit a fragment, then i will withdraw from the challenge.

That is complete bullcrap, and is disrespectful to all who are working hard
on this challenge, and keeping to our word like honourable human beings.

The Rules are The Rules. They will not be changed. Im positive Doit will agree.
The challenge is HIS baby.

even if i accept that i do not expect to be considered for a score and do it for my own pride ?

i wouldnt have had to do it if you had left me widraw quietly and politely from it

do you want the challenge or do you wanna compete with me what do you want ? figure it out..if you want the challenge then what i do shouldnt matter to you, if you wanna compete with me accept rons proposal, simple..stop making it about anything or anyone else..

and for god sake please stop beeing a drama queen about honour or disshonour

OK Todd,

I can't argue with that.

You are quite within your rights to enter Doit's official challenge, as is Florian.

I'd hoped for an agreement between you both, but that's not to be.

So let's everybody.... let the matter REST now.

That means no more "sniping" at each other from either of you on this Forum.

So, let's keep it peaceful and all look forward to the Challenge.

Flo,

Three Falsetas would not be a valid entry in Doit's official Challenge.

But, sure you can upload them just as a General upload outside the challenge.
Anyone can upload anything.

NOW, can we let the matter rest guys...please?

To be clarify the challenge.

All the rules have to be respected. If you disrespect one of them, you are out. There are no exceptions.

Uploading fragments can be done out of contest and they will not be uploaded at the same time as the audios from the challengers and not gonna be judged.

There is still much time left, so I think any discussions are a little bit to early.
Focus on playing and not on arguing.
