Im very sleepy ... have to go to bed.. That means Im in a critical condition.. and should not continue to write. But I do.. and I hope you can maybe help me out a bit.. In short... its becoming a hard job to be fair to anyone here. Where is the point to start to be strict and hard? you are worring and thinking too much man at the end of the day everyone still realizes this is just a litlle bit of fun and that they have allready recived their prize and the judges and you and everyone is just doing the best they can to make it as fair as possible...everyone realizes that i think every decision you made has been just fine, i would have done the same..this people all put in alot of effort so its ok to bend the rules a litlle for them, it would have been more unfair to stop someone from entering on a small technicallity like audio format or whatever after they done all this work slowing the loop down is not a huge crime, speeding it up would have been dishonorable but slowing it down a litlle its not the end of the world, its not an enhancement things never ever go 100% strictly to plan, u have to prepare for that and allow yourself some room to be flexible..wich u seem to be doing , so dont worry u play the cards u have on hand and make the best possible decisions with that not with what u wish u had or planned to have u way hard on yourself for no reason serious, just enjoy it, you did a great job, its a great challenge, inspirational entries...enjoy it

ORIGINAL: Doitsujin A good friend of mine who is a professional musician told me in past, the most important thing if you are musician is: You have to do your thing and dont get depressed because of other peoples opinions about your music. (If these opinions are not like yours). Only if you can handle this, you can be a musician. So, that is my second challenge within this challenge. Wise Friend! I thought that all of you Pros. don't give a f..... about the Points and Judging of us Noobs anyways and just want to have some fun learning La Ardilla and snatch those prices away ........ ---- Joking aside, Ole Doit, glad that you see things positive now, and yes, never let other opinions affect you in a negative way, and also there are so many factors in this Judging thing to be considered that you can't predict anything. My own opinion is still that the major influencing factor is that we had so many different recording enviroments (but i told you that at the beginning of this thread with Fat Letters ! ) and its really hard to compare and differentiate those things, even if you are used to Flamenco for years. The best would be that all would record exactly with the same Mic, Guitar, Room, etc.....but thats impossible as we all know! So we simply can do our best to judge properly. Not more.

Most of the Challangers are better guitar players than most of the Judges I've been taking a peek now and then from the sidelines, and I got to thinking about some of Arash's comments from the post that I've quoted. Some of the points he brought up are exactly the kind of thing that pros have to deal with insofar as critics and reviews. But I'm talking about more than just your pride or all the hard work you've put into your art, because what might be on the line is making enough money to feed your family! I'm not going to name any names, and I'm sorry to be hinting like this, but I've met several important critics and writers who admitted to me that they can't follow compás (quickly adding, of course, "But I know when something's not in compás!"). It's bad enough that they don't sing, dance or play the guitar, but some of these guys can't even put one hand against the other in rhythm!!! And they're going to say what's hip and what to skip?! Anyway, three cheers for all of you! Edit: Just to clarify, that was just a general rant about the way things are, not about anyone here on the forum!
