Well, it arrived this afternoon. First impressions? Wow! [sm=Smiley Guitar.gif]It really is an amazing guitar. And, Ron, it is twice as loud as the Burguet, and it will certainly do for accompaniment as well as solo playing. To be honest, I was quite prepared to send it back if I didn't feel it was either right for me or a wonderful instrument. It is both. It is number 83 of the projected 200, and is dated 2004 - brand new, arrived at the shop last week. It has the definitive blanca sound, incredible bite. After 15 minutes of playing, I tried my Burguet again. The Burguet is a fine guitar, but this is another thing altogether. Some might find the 66cm string length to be too long, and indeed, the guitar is big and heavy (compared to some flamencos), but as I am 6'3'' and have hands to match - fits like a glove. Besides, it only takes a capo to knock a centimetre off the length. The action seems a little high compared to Ron's Bernal and Jim's Conde, and maybe one day I'll experiment with a lower bridge/nut, but for the moment I'll leave it as is. And, of course, it is signed in ink by The Man. I'm gald you love your Bernal, Ron, and you will draw a better sound out of it than I will out of this PdL. But that has nothing to do with the guitars - it has a lot to do with your being a fantastic flamenco guitarist. We are both happy! [:D][:D] Rob
