TGerman -> It Figures... (Sep. 20 2007 12:45:29)

Every time, without fail, when someone comes to town (New York) to play a show, whether it be Gerardo, Paco, Tomatito, or the whole Flamenco Festival for that matter, something ALWAYS comes up and I can't go. Without fail.

Now, after moving down here to Costa Rica, I resign myself to the fact I don't live in a hotbed of flamenco, as a matter of fact I don't anyone, and that I can't expect too many shows. Well, just imagine my grin when I found out that Gerardo is playing down here next week! I become excited about this, finally a flamenco show, and a damned good one at that. I tell my friends, get everyones interest up, make plans. Then I happen to look at my calendar...and realize that I have to go to Nicaragua.[:@][:@][:@]

It figures!

Todd

PS Anyone here from CR?

To me Gerardo is truly the most entertaining guitarist to see live, without a doubt, even for non-guitarists. Sounds like a lot of bad luck. You're sure to get the chance someday, though, just keep your eyes peeled!

John

I missed Gerardo in London Earlier this year. I was gutted!![:@]
Was saving my last bit of money to buy a ticket but had a sudden unexpected expense. I tried to borrow off a friend but by the time I got it from him, the tickets were all gone.[:(]

We'll see him one day!

Stu
