At the end, could somebody tell me a definition of flamenco? And the thing with competitions for best "foreign" guitarists .. sorry. This is racistic. Like the last seats in the bus are especially for black people. Or women-football. I cant stand the whole mindset of this flamenco-world. And the strangest thing is, that not the spanish people execute most of these silly statements but the foreigners about themselves. Thats a reason to stop playing flamencoguitar. These discussions never end. Better to switch to other music, no? . I will.

Why does people get so frigging upset about the fact that a flamenco guitarist (gitano or japanese) job usually first is to play to song? I dont get it If i wanted to play soccer i could choose to stay home and shoot against a wall or i could join a team and play with others. No one get upset over the roles or rules on a football field. You have a goalkeeper, a forward and defence. So what the big deal?

I think singing is measured too high. Its just another instrument like a violin or trumpet, only with the ability to produce words (And as I told in past, most often it would have been better to not using these kind of poems). Singing can only produce one tone at one time. A guitar is much more efficient and offers much more options to produce music. So its not possible to sing for guitarplaying. If I wanna use a computer, I dont have to undersand the soucecode of windows xp at first. I just check how it works (and most of the people can handle it without the users manual) and simply use it. [;)]

And its true that it has become more commersialized and people wants to cash in, but in lot of ways i think that has to do about survival. And a lot of commersial artists prefer doing the real thing when they dont have the demands of a record company at their throat.
