I think the guys who got the Mundobeat together had a nice idea technically, but you'd probably make more profit from selling secondhand Furbies on eBay, personally speaking. The market in this area is very small. I think that's why they stopped making 'em Small quantity production costs are very high, you've got the problem with shipping etc and the product had too high a price tag IMO. Personally speaking, I would very much doubt if this small outfit would have had the resources to "pay" Tomatito, who can command thousands of dollars for an hour-and-a half performance.... Maybe they gave him a frebee and he genuinely liked it! Anyway, good on the creators for trying it out and good luck to them in the future. Hardware-wise and Presentation-wise, I think they didn't get it quite right..(speaking as a Design Engineer in my former life...but that's just my own personal opinion..) Price, I'd say don't worry about it. Make it right and people will buy it... That's been proved time and time again with Mobile Phones..iPods etc. But that's easy to say in retrospect. If you've got an original Mundobeat then hang on to it... They'll probaby be exchanging hands for hundreds of dollars on eBay in years to come! cheers Ron
