I like jazz but skip the solos, distill me the grooves...
Brownswood Recordings (Gilles Petersen's basement, from the looks of it..) in London.
They have a lovely stable of young talent just jamming out new jazz that flows like electronica, but not in a Jo-Jo-Meyer-Nerve sense, but in a proper flow sense... ego-less...

I hate to resort to TED talks, but Mr Appelbaum makes a few good points on "what is music" ... since I heard some rap and serialism beefs lol

I love good music.
I love the folk musics of the world that are sometimes called "world music" but I also adore the post-modern concept of "world music" or a fusion and truly new music where the best musicians from all places work on advancing new music as a whole.
