Medically speaking.... i thought you were being serious.... quote:
If you watched enough Almodovar and Rocky Horror you would know this. then i thought you were joking.... but really i can't tell. the guy in the pic is a transvestite, or cross-dresser (which is a literal translation), ie. dressing as the opposite sex. Men dressing as women getting pregnant? no a transsexual is someone who is psychologically the opposite sex to their physical sex, usually wanting to or going through a sex change via a period of hormone treatment before surgery. A man having surgery to make him a women would be not able to get pregnant, neither would a woman having surgery to become a man. I think transgender is the same as transsexual but technically sex and gender are different. Sex is being physically male or female, while gender is to do with masculinity and femininity, so more to do with feelings and behaviour. Hermaphrodite (literally Hermes and Aphrodite combined) is biologically having both male and female reproductive organs. In humans it is not very useful as there are different mixtures of hormones and organs that are now usually referred to as "intersex" - some might be able to get pregnant but generally unlikely. Often people born "intersex" have surgery as infants to align them to one gender or the other, though many are unhappy with the outcome as adults.
