You can get a very small tuner from Planet Waves, hardly visible from the front of the guitar. why take it off, its useful

Easy to read, sensitive, accurate, very tiny, and relatively inexpensive. A lot more convenient than some of the fancier hand-held ones I have. I need that option pretty often.. That is what all chromatic tuners do. You play whatever note you want and it will tell you if it is in tune or not. No need to use a "flat" option or anything...
