Did not shoot much during my days in Granada; definitely a choice between shooting or having a good time. Wasn't a hard choice.

WOW, what a great photo of El Niño de las Almendras! I can't believe that that guy is still going strong. Love it.

As I recall he serenaded our own Antonio Tiriti (at_leo_87) and his then-girlfriend (now wife) at the Gran Taberna with the most romantic fandango [:D]

Felipe, at Gran Via. I spent a stupid amount of money there. Such a great collection.

Man I met Niño in his peña and got the impression that his energy grows with every moment. He signed a contract with the devil!

Very true. The man is a force to be reckoned with. The girls I was hanging out with just knew him as Pepe and had no idea he was a singer.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. This was definitely the first trip of many to Granada. It is without a doubt, a very hard place to leave.

Wow ....what great photos. I love them and you really captured those people well. Now I can see your passion for the German camera you had.
That is an excellent portrait of Niño de las Almendras. He must be 80 and still singing most nights in the Chien Andalauz. I'd recommend anyone to hear him if you visit Granada. An amazing character, always immaculately dressed and (little known) teacher of Enrique Morente.
