Maybe I missed the boat, but I thought that the whole point about the shallow body (as you've stated Rum) was to help to reduce the sustain and therefore help attack. As far as I understand, negras have a hardwood of choice, but not necessarily a big deep body. This would result in a "compromise" of good projection yet still retain the attack without the sustain. Maybe I got this wrong, but thats how I've come to understand and I just got really confused when I saw the big deep body in the first video.
