Fantasia Flamenca. Perfect from the first note to the last as far as solo guitar recording goes. Nice mix of orginal and inovation with traditional even "classical" flamenco guitar. Technique there is unsurpassed. Only thing is I would not have minded some palmas on the bulerias track, but still it is nice totally solo as well. Duende is probably my second fav even though I agree the chamber orchestra gets in the way of a few cuts. But the solo pieces are fantastic, he still plays some of that Rondeña in Concert, and the bulerias has a truly magic sound and groove, a few crazy modern ideas in the middle. His all around best IMO. Siroco is one I love the music, but the recording is lacking to me with tons of syrupy reverb and the guitar sounds like it is 10 feet away from the mic. The Rumba track is kind of cluttered too, and overall it is a short album. If it was beefed up with some of the tracks from Zyrab (buleria in C#, Taranta, Fandango, duo with manolo) I might put it at number 1 cuz the music is far a head of what he had done before, and is still current.
