Ok yeah, getting it in compas might be a little difficult. What about this moraito falseta? he teaches it himself [;)]

c'mon man this is beginner stuff![:D][:D]

let's play this one and risk dying early from a heart attack. [;)]

mezzo -> RE: intermediate challenge ideas (Nov. 13 2010 8:44:10)

3 falsetas por solea by Antonio Moya

solea falsetas

The 1st one could be use as the intro. Then a couple of compas, then the 2nd falseta, then an another compas cycle, then the 3rd falseta.

The tabs are available, there are from the Worms blog.

just scroll to the top, its the second post

heres one fdh falseta. I've 0 fdh falsetas so it could be interresting to do one or two of them.
Maybe we should do voting poll for what are we going to play.

You'd want to start with basic canonical quantization - probably applied to the free Klein-Gordon scalar field, and maybe also a simple non-interacting Dirac field, just to get a feel for things - and then looking at the fermionic fields describing quarks and the strong force, putting it all together and quantizing the SU(3)xSU(2)xU(1) standard model gauge theory, then discussing the behavior of various simple string theory Lagrangians under quantization and consequences for quantum gravity.

Hi ramparts,

I tried putting that through a Google Translator, but no joy.

Still gobbledygook...

cheers,

Ron

The guitar is on fire after that one.[:D]

Elie -> RE: intermediate challenge ideas (Nov. 13 2010 19:29:39)

[8|] hehe no decision till now !!
hmmm Gerardo Nunez-Vals Flamenco :P no palo required hahaha

CuerdasDulces -> RE: intermediate challenge ideas (Nov. 14 2010 3:49:17)

Ok we're gonna do this one and thats final!

Doitsujin -> RE: intermediate challenge ideas (Nov. 14 2010 9:01:58)

Ok jokes aside. Till now all playable, but most of the suggestions were advanced level and not intermediate. [;)]

So, any intermediate suggestions? For example, solea by pepe Habichuela, or his solea por buleria. Gerardo Nunes Vals flamencoo or his tanguillo. Or Tomatitos alegria from encuentro or Nino miguels buleria. Or even paco ceperos buleria de pura cepa. Or the 1guitar rumba by pepe habichuela.

These are all intermediate compositions IMO. You want to tanke any?

I think a single falseta is too less. It must be a complete composition or at least 3-4 falsetas with compas as tomatitos alegrias.

mezzo -> RE: intermediate challenge ideas (Nov. 14 2010 10:08:57)

The point is WHO will choose it?

Also imo a 2min long like the Tomate alegrias is enought. A whole piece is too much [8D]

yohan -> RE: intermediate challenge ideas (Nov. 14 2010 10:25:27)

how about 1.5 of celosa? Or is that to advanced maybe?
i really like it, someone got the tabs btw?

Doitsujin -> RE: intermediate challenge ideas (Nov. 14 2010 10:29:00)

Mezzo: I agree! ;.) It should not be too long.

Yohan: Yeah! Celosa is great! A solea and in the key por medio. Not to hard and not too easy. Do you have a tab?

To the question who chooses: The majority... or the guy who hosts the challenge? I have no idea..

Doitsujin host it and choose it. Y ya esta! [:)]

Yes, that is nice piece and it's the first one I think is playable (for me), that means it isn't advanced. Does not mean I will play it well...
And it would be great arpeggio practice.

But compared to the other stuff suggested it almost sounds like it's something you would choose for beginner. But I think the pieces chosen are always towards the 'advanced' beginner, or the 'advanced' intermediate. In any case, I'd go for this one!

Doitsujin -> RE: intermediate challenge ideas (Nov. 14 2010 10:52:17)

Im already hosting the advanced challenge.. and I have chosen the composition.. So,.. the intermediate challenge..I´ll probably only participate. Depends on the composition.

xirdneH_imiJ -> RE: intermediate challenge ideas (Nov. 14 2010 11:33:47)

you're way over the intermediate level, you should only be judging it :)
but it would be nice if we could participate too...

Elie -> RE: intermediate challenge ideas (Nov. 14 2010 13:13:58)

quote:

you're way over the intermediate level

that is applied to you as well xirdneH_imiJ [:D] I mean you're way over the intermediate level as well.
with all respect to all the parties why not let Doitsujin & xirdneH_imiJ ( The Advanced player ) decide a piece for us
and I mean DECIDE not just suggest [8D]

at_leo_87 -> RE: intermediate challenge ideas (Nov. 14 2010 13:33:30)

hey guys,
it isn't finalized yet but...
jose tanaka has agreed to donate one of his lessons and tabs for the competition.
as a prize, you'll get a one month subscription to his lessons website.

i think this is very generous of him. are you guys interested?

Elie -> RE: intermediate challenge ideas (Nov. 14 2010 13:35:43)

that sounds fantastic to me [:D]

rogeliocan -> RE: intermediate challenge ideas (Nov. 14 2010 13:35:43)

OT: Does someone have the tab for celosa?

Jason's minera would have been nice too [:(]

acziraky -> RE: intermediate challenge ideas (Nov. 14 2010 13:58:24)

I definitely like the idea of doing one of the more neglected palos. Fandangos de Huelva, Alegrias, or Seguiriyas would be awesome. As a low-level intermediate I would prefer something simpler, with focus on compas and aire. How about Son de Campanas by Paco Pena?

at_leo_87 -> RE: intermediate challenge ideas (Nov. 14 2010 14:08:27)

im not sure what piece jose is going to pick. i suggested some bulerias, alegrias, tangos.

here's his site if you want to check it out
https://www.flamencoguitarlesson.com/

i think this is a great opportunity. you guys let me know if there's anything specific you want and i'll see what i can work out. i cant match everyone's expectations but i'll try my best. [:)]

Doitsujin -> RE: intermediate challenge ideas (Nov. 14 2010 14:32:32)

Tanaka has some beautiful falsetas up por bulerias. Very worth to learn. Thats very nice of him. How come that you have such a good contact to him leo?

Those are good ideas. Bulería is a bit overdone, maybe tangos? I speak entirely selfishly, however, since I haven't really got a good solo tangos to play [:D]

An "intermediate" Gerardo piece (like the vals or the tanguillos) could also be a lot of fun.
