ORIGINAL: estebanana This one is set up more like a classical, or perhaps in between? The treble is about 2.8 mm and the bass about 3.2 or 3.4 you could play flamenco on it, but the laminated ribs make the whole thing feel too heavy. Itās a guitar with a flamenco kind of voice if you pushed it, but it has a treble register thatās made for singing melodies. Itās like a mullet hair cut, business in the front, party in the back. Beautiful guitar. I would be curious if you could get a more flamenco voice out of it as it would be a stunner with the sides like that. While I am not a luthier, what about a back of lighweight cypress to counter balanca a bit on the sides being heavy? Or maybe a maple? Gioachino Giussani uses double backs and sides to force the tone through the top for his classicals. They are pure canons in terms of volume and have a very aggressive voice to them even though it's a classical. If not for the sustain he brings forward they would easily pass for flamenco with how hard they attack.
