For example, the guitarists like to copy Paco, Gerardo, even Manolo Sanlucar falsetas and stick em into their rumbas, and the singers do lots of Camaron letras. In fact they consider themselves "camaroneros" even though they don't really know how to sing bulerias/Alegrias/Solea in compas.[:D] They can do tangos though, and tanguillos, and fandango libre certain styles. Those guitars were not ours, they were the other Rumbero band's....as I said they picked me on the spot to play. I had earlier performed flamenco with a dancer. The event was a cancer benefit organized by a mutual friend who survived the disease. We all performed for free, but just a couple of songs each. There were two other members of the Kings hanging out there just watching and socializing, but these two guys were the generous ones.
