I'm one of those that was unaware of all this. I don't think I could have guessed he was playing with a pick with just the audio (actually, I'm sure of it) so not sure why there was any fuss about it (except in a good way: it is pretty amazing) Andy does his tremolos backwards. Now THAT's shocking! [:D][8D] Not sure what all the talk about 2s, 3s or 17.5s is either. Ever play 16th notes at 100bpm when everyone else was playing 8th notes at 200bpm? Or even 3/4 when everyone else was playing 6/8? It might create some additional tension in the overall groove of the piece (especially the latter example), but it's definitely not enough to say anything was in or out of the groove. Feeling it in 2s is about as important as not playing with a pick. So apparently not important at all.
