How to Play Flamenco Guitar Made Easy

This cracked me up!!!

Play closer to the neck to make the sound more crisp and less muffled.

I can't even watch these type of videos

It makes me feel real sorry for these people and I don't like feeling sorry for folks!!

someone should tell her and everyone who's commenting how good it is that its all WRONG!!

can we post a counter video or something???

sometimes, I feel like i'm floating around in a sea of idiots who are so stupid that they don't even search "flamenco" on youtube before they post a video on it.

for example, the flamenco lessons on ( a certain relatively new, very terrible forum) are really stupid. intensely stupid. In fact I feel so bad that the site exists, that I post articles on how not to listen to what those yokels tell you.

Man, this could really screw people up. What if someone really wanted to learn flamenco.....

and who is this girl anyway? why is she representing a guitar website when she can hardly strum a guitar?

I think i actually rated it 4 1/2 by mistake!!!

was so eager to click one star i slipped and it says a I rated it 4 1/2.

so I omitted all my exclamation marks and the url I posted of some real flamenco lessons, and it now DOES appear to need approval from the original video poster.

When you upload there's an option about allowing ratings and comments, and you can edit that afterwards too - she may have disabled it.

I think they would rather enter a search string like "Paco de lucia"... i mean, people who think THIS is flamenco, obviously dont know it better (they had misconceptions BEFORE they watched the video), and people who do will take lessons somewhere else.

Well that reminds me of two young co-students, who just passed an oral examination :) last week only because they are girls. The task was to write a Visual Basic programme, and the teacher found out that they had no idea and just copied the code. They even said it!

I personally think shes looking like Brunhilde... I hope she doesnt start a wikipedia-page with infos about flaminko.

Here you see,.. the guitar is not the problem.. Tonino from the G.Kings with a nice buleria. But sad he played with strange settings..

I'm sure gald she slowed it down so I could grasp the chord change. Whew!!! I didn't realize how hard Flamingo guitar was when I started! Apparently it's all about A minor and E major. Now I know that if I play higher up on the neck, it gives a more interesting sound.

If you look at her subscriptions, she's she's subscribed to Ricardo. The web is like a microcosm of a tiny world. LOL

Looking thgouh her favourites, I noticed that this one with the cantaora, has a tocaora accompanying... A pretty one too.

We really need to find the female players thread and revitalise it.

That's Laura Gonzales. There's other stuff of her on you tube, playing at a Pena in Cordoba. I think she's great.

she could have used her flamiiiin ko strum on her tune "monday", but i think her piiiinky kept hiding. And today is tuesday.

Honestly, she is a good teacher for what she is showing, and seems to know her target audience well (not us). for the Record, I saw a Vid of Gypsykings in the recording studio, and one of the players , Pablo, recorded a track or rhythm guitar playing over the neck like she does for the "special golpes" and sound it makes.
