The man has great reflexes. I think I would have been hit with that shoe. The suspect wasn't taking any chances. He meant business so he used a size 10.
Tom: shouldn't this be in Off Topic? Or did you think that the shoe-throwing was a pretty flamenco thing to do? (I'd like to see an edit of the video where there is an OLE from the crowd after each shoe...)

Your right Estevan. It probably should have been in the Off Topic section. However, this act of shoe throwing could actually be Flamenco. The shoe thrower can also be referred to as a Taconero.

I think the world will be a better place from now on. I like the idea that this was a "Flamenco" thing to do. Hopefully we can move on and work towards a better future for everyone.
I think the world will be a better place from now on.
Now that Obama will be the american President, i really dont want to destroy the illusions. Many people (specially americans) think he can change many things. I really hope so, but honestly, i think there will not be a major change in politcs and economics. Maybe a little bit better but no major changes. Dont want to go in to details as this is flamenco foro here though.
However, at least, it was the first time since many years that there was some good and encouraging news from america. The whole world (except Israel government of course) were really sick of US behaviour in the whole world and were happy that Obama won. The credit belongs to the american people alone, who went to the polls and surprised the world with the fact that there is still some REAL democracy there.

@Doit, you are right, its good that it was just a shoe and not a gun. A Bazooka would have been better though!
This creature is the most dangerous man alive (much more dangerous than any other terrorist and any other so called "axis of evil" president in the world). The world would be a much better place for any living human (specially americans) on it without this animal .....just look in his eyes when he is talking and watching in to the camera and you will see that this man is the personified demon himself, lying 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Oh, and before i receive answers like: "your president is evil too...."....yes, i know, that monkey should dissapear too! along with Osama and ....... but at least, he just keaps talking bullsh!t since years and doesnt kill millions of innocent people invading other countries in the clock of spreading democracy!#
Arash, I understand my friend. Just keep in mind that, as in all the countries of the world, individuals shouldn't be judged by the actions of their governments. Things can only get better. Let us hope so, at least.

Of course Dean....i was talking about US government and not the people.....people can do nothing but go and vote for the best available choise....and this time they happily did (with Obama).....sorry, if my comments were a bit harsh....please also keep in mind that my english is also not the best, so i apologize if you or anyone else should have been offended a bit.... Yeah, lets hope that everything gets better......peace
BTW, i just edited the word "leaving human" and replaced it with the correct "living human" and nothing else....dont worry, i am not a virtual suicide assasin ... Or do you mean edited version of your post? (in this case you are a good diplomat )
je je je suspicious minds !! Actually I posted a link to the throw a shoe at Bush game then realised some-one else had already posted that so I hit delete. Mystery solved
RE: President Bush Ashoenated (in reply to TANúñez)
The funniest one I saw was bush and his aids spoofed up to be dancing - I think it was a sevillanas or rumba. Can't find it to show you. Any ideas where it's gone?

Good, but not the one I had in mind. The one I was thinking of was real people with actions remixed a bit to fit the music. I'm sure it was Sevillanas. Bush had a couple of aids and a couple of burley bodyguards forming the chorus line. It was SO funny. I've now become obsessed and will have to visit the PC cemetary down in the garage to track some old emails. I sent this video on to a friend once (2006/07) so I might be able to find it.

I'm sure it's not the one
Thanks. I think it probably is, but it doesn't seem so good now as I remember it. (I was expecting Sevillanas). It was quite a while ago. I'll check my old PC some time today just to be sure!
