Hermanos Sanchis Lopez 2F-05 ?

Hello everybody !

Sorry for my english, but i'm french. (if you want, i can write in spanish)

I would like to buy a flamenca guitar with a budget of 1000€.
I tried several models, and the only one who gave me a good impression is the Hermanos Sanchis's 2F.

But i'm not an expert, so i want your opinions.

What do you think of this guitar ?
There is a better model(s) with 1000€ ? I tried the Burguet's 2F, but i did'nt like it.

Thank you very much !

The 2F-05 ist definately a good choice for this price range (for a new guitar).
And if you had the opportunity to try it out and you liked it, buy it.

Sometimes there are some good deals on the internet for used guitars like on ebay or used market (in some cases better than this Model), but often you have no possibility to try them out due to the distance to the seller.

I also saw different used 2F-05s for sale in good condition for about 500 - 600 Euros in the past year .

So if you want to be on the safe side and dont have time, buy the new guitar which you have tried and which you liked.

If you are not in hurry and if you can take a little bit risk and if you can accept used guitars, then keep an eye on the used market and you may find a better guitar in good condition for 1000 Euros!

Arash gave a good advice.
I have a 2F and really like it.
If it fits you just go for it!

Thank you for your answers !

Arash > Yes, sometimes there are good deals on the web, but i don't want to buy a guitar without having tried it before.
I know the sellers of the store where i want to buy it, and i know they are really good guys. I will ask them if they have used flamenco guitars in my price range. I saw an Hermanos Conde in the shop, maybe for 1000€... :p

(Sorry again for my english. Is it good ?^^; )

Conde also has student models, its probably one of those.
Apart from that, the 2F ist OK. Though i have the feeling that the Hermanos Lopez's are more bassier than the Carpio's (father), which for a blanca is strange sound IMO.

The 2F-05 is a pretty good guitar for the price when they first came out. I think they are more expensive now. I bought one about 3 years ago and paid around $1100 US. Pretty good guitar, a little too bassy IMO, but the trebles were fine.

Good luck..

Thats true. I have a F03 Negra from the brothers and i think the price is now about 200 Euros higher than when they started to sell this Model. Same with 2F-05. It is more expensive now

Deniz & DonS > Too Bassy ? Yes, when i tried the guitar, i thought it. But i don't really know the "sound" differences beetween una blanca y una negra...
I liked his sound, more than the Burguet's 2F with less bass. and I also thought the Sanchis's was easier to play.

DonS > Yes, los Hermanos Sanchis are more expensive, but it's the same with the other luthiers. For example, the Burguet's 2F :
november : 880€ === march : 960€

Escribano > Pas mal du tout. ;) Mais le français est une langue très difficile, surtout à l'écrit !

Alabhy, I also owned a Burguet 2F and got it for around $800 US around 2 years ago from www.olddavy.com It was a good guitar and a very flat neck (might be too flat for flamenco) but you get used to it. I used it for a few years as a gig guitar. That's a hard call between the two similar priced guitars (Sanchis/Burguet). If shipping isn't too expensive you should look into a Navarro estudio from Tom @ Lafalseta.com might be the best bang for the buck. The lacquer isn't so thick like on the Burguet or Sanchis Lopez so it's much more open sounding and great workmanship. It's about $850 and with the US dollars so weak right now it might be your best buy if your currency is EURO.

Here are some pics. I think it's the first 4 photos:

Alabhy, If you have played the Sanchis Lopez and liked it, I'd suggest getting that one over the Burguet 2F. I think it will have a better resale value as well.

Good luck

DonS > I preferred it to the Burguet : easier to play, a better sound quality, etc.
