I have been playing flamenco for over 45 years. During that time, I have owned many instruments. Several months ago, I asked Luthier Ron Bushman to build me a flamenco guitar. Ron made me an incredible sounding guitar, patterned after the Reyes 2003 model. It came alive the first day he strung it. I know it will only improve with time. However, I loved the sound and action so much, I used it during a performance that same day. The workmanship is as good as it gets. Ron is in California. He is a real gentleman. I suggest contacting him if you are in the market for a professional instrument at a reasonable price. His email is: rjbushman@yahoo.com
RE: Ron Bushman flamenco guitar (in reply to Pgh_flamenco)
Mr. Bushman does not have a website as yet. He sent me photos of his guitars. In fact, he later sent me photos of my guitar being built at various stages of construction. Mr. Bushman made me the best flamenco guitar I have ever owned. The bases are powerful, and the trebles bright and sweet. It is loud and plays like butter. I have had it 3 days now and can not put it down. It inspires me and gives me the chills when I hear its fantastic sound.

I might add that Ron Bushman and I corresponded about the 2003 Reyes plan that I donated to the Guild of American Luthiers, and Ron said this has changed his path in building flamenco guitars. Ron is a heck of a nice guy and I regard him as a friend.
