anyone own/play a Pavan or Montalvo ... 
I've been researching a lot of Flamenco guitars, and after hearing quite a few, i've decided I really like the sound of spruce/cypress. THinking ahead in a year or so, I may move up to a nicer guitar(have a Yamaha CF171SF ) and I like what I see with the Pavans and the Montalvos($1500 range give or take).

anyone have experience with either brand? your opinions?

I've played both Pavan and owned a few Montalvos. The Montalvos are a little better. For under $1000 I'd go for a Francisco Navarro concert or estudio model from LaFalseta.com
