Well, I FOR ONE do not think women can be good Flamenco artists. Their boobs get in the way.
Just kidding! *Ducks to avoid flying rotten cabbages and tomatoes hurled at head*
Seriously, that is kind of a funny question, and it really shouldn't be asked. I think the only thing limiting women as guitarists are just the usual sexism/machismo/cultural factors.
If a non spanish man would say: "I think women cant play flamenco-guitar because they are woman. ... " Than its the same like if a spanish person says: Not spanish people cant play flamencoguitar because they are not spanish.. you know its in the blood... and so... crap.
[EDIT: That is just a random comment. Its no reaction on any post which is maybe made here. I didnt read the other answeres, because I have no time. I have to play my new guitar. ]

Like when 60's Black Power activist Stokey Carmichael was asked by a girl... "What position do you think women should take in the struggle?" And he answered.. "Horizontal baby....Horizontal"
Funny joke, yeah...but it stems from the same attitude IMO.
RE: Can Females play flamenco? (in reply to Samarto)
check out this young lady, I think, by her posts, she has only been playing a couple months. Its not perfect, but she is new to all this, I wish I could play as well as she does!
