It's my crappy connection here in Spain. Three routers I have replaced and the ISP still tells me it's my problem. I am having real trouble finding another home for this database and moving the data there because the connection is so unreliable.
I'm still working on it and have been for 3 freakin' weeks

Are the routers wireless? The wireless routers I've used have been problematic. Is it too difficult to hardwire the database to your internet connection?
If it's a question of money I'm willing to give $5 through Paypal for a membership.

Hey thanks for the offer.
Yes, the router is wireless but the server is hard-wired to the router.
But... you got me thinking about dumping wireless altogether, putting in a vanilla concentrator and running CAT5 for all the other computers.
Note: I just rebooted the server (Windows Small Business Server) as I messed around with the system clock today. It might have screwed performance, what with messsing around with IP addresses and stuff - it might clean out the pipes
Hey, at least we got the time/date bug sorted. My how it didn't like the database being on another networked host. For anyone writing a scalable, distributed web application out there!
Wasn't trying to ride you, but I was just wondering why I have so much trouble here - and if I was the only one@! Many times, after 2 or 3 tries, I just give up and go do something else, so it's frustrating...

Yeah me too. I really value this Foro and would be happy to donate something. Don't think we should make it a paid membership, because the idea (I think) is to welcome everyone, regardless of ability to pay. But I bet there'll be a few of us who would be willing to make a donation contributing to the cost of running it.
Thanks but it is not a question of money, it is a question of connectivity, firewalls etc.
I can move this to the US and host it for $11 a month that the Google Ads will cover but I have not managed to find the time or reliable connectivity to get it there (yet).
