Yo, I want to buy an amplifier for Busking, so it must be able to be powered by DC, either by regular batteries or a built in rechargeable battery. I need two channels for two guitars, I want a built in Digital Reverb, quality sound would be an added advantage, oh and it must be small and light. Not looking for much am I? I have looked at the usual suspects Peavey and Roland Boss Cube etc. A new model to the UK is the Roland Cube Street which seems to fit the bill, do any of you guys have any experience of this model? or am I missing something else? I would appreciate any input.
I have the street cube and I must say...It is one of the best of the small amps! I've used the micro and the small vox and they are pretty good for a practice amp, but the street cube can be used with all genres of music...it actually has 3 inputs one guitar (electric, acoustic or mike) with EQ, reverb, delay,chorus etc...and 5 or 6 different amp sounds...the second channel can also be used with anything (including keyboards and XLR equipped devices) also has reverb, delay and equalizer. The 3rd input is for mp3 or any other devices e.g. pre-recorded. It runs about 11 hours or so on 6 AA batteries or comes with a power adapter. All in all it is perfect for small gatherings, practice, outside playing etc...
