I dont think Howard is real, just some clown who has beef with "someone" made up, a name and got a second membership.

He cant be real !! , people this stupid dont exist and if they do they dont have computers and if they do they dont know how to use em.

I think that if someone was to take note of his IP number and checked against the members we allready have or had will get a winner

Perhaps someone who is looking for a litlle excitment and gets a kick when theres arguing going on, or perhaps even someone who has beef with me (all thow i dont get that vibe from him, he seems to have a soft spot for me ).

sure ill get the ball rolling, here a couple of my favourites:

you don't have to be a very good guitar player, to be a very good flamenco player

quote:

I have ordered a cheapo guitar from an online store, about $90 or so, and after I get it, I am going to really give you flamenco purist ****s a run for your money

quote:

So what? I'm a ****. If we ever met, I'd probably tell you that you sucked

The negativitity in this forun is unbelievable

Hmm. let's see. For starters, I am real. I'm kind of embarrassed by all the BS I posted on here. But what can I say, shoot me. I just had some extra feces to fling around, so I let fly. And as far as this whole Juan Martin thing, I really couldn't care less. Yes, I think there's a lot of inflated egos on this forum. I suppose that was my motivation. If I offended anyone, I am truly sorry. I don't think i'm any good. I told you people I've been on a 5 year layoff. Plus I'm unemployed, and bored out of my mind, and also broke. So an $80 guitar is all I can afford. And on top of all that, I fell in a fire and burned my forearm from the elbow to the wrist. I am still recovering from that. So in addition to all my other problems, I've got huge hospital bills. So WTF, I came on here and stirred up some ****. Get over it.

Oh and let me add. Mr Florian. There is another thread on this forum where you continuously rip a new one for this Juan Martin Guy. I mean pages after pages ot it. I think that was what inspired me to insult you. I didn't mean it in a bad way. You can insult me all you want to . I say let the feathers fly.

And then there was this guy who posted some little video of him playing some little thing, and immediately some other butthead started ripping him a new one about how his guitar wasn't in tune, and he just generally sucked, and so fothr and so on.

And yeah. I ripped on the guy who said his flamenco performance at the wedding wasn't recieved very well. I will not apologise for that. Because you know why? I have alreadt been there and done that. Got the T-shirt if you will. If I was too harsh on the guy. then I apologise. Sorry dude, I din't mean that you sucked. I meant that your choice of music sucked. If you want to go out and play at a party. like a wedding. or anything else like that, then you should give the people what they want. Which is namely, a bunch of pop, rock, country crap. If lyou think you are going to go out and impress people with your classical/flamenco guitar paying prowess, then you are sadly mistaken. Nobady wants to hear that ****. I used to have this little book, or a folder, you might call it. I would usually start from the beginning, and I had a little routine. I would modify it for the occasion and the audious. I had it down to a little science. What people liked. I kind of hated it, and eventually gave up on the whole thing.

Let me interject a little pearl of wisdom here. If you want people to pay attention to you, then give them some really bad singing. You will not be ignored. You might be run out of town on a rail, or have rotten fruit thrown at you, but you will not be ignored.

The whole classical/flamenco guitar thing. I would say. don't ever play it for some unappreciative crowd. You are only setting yourself up for failure. And who among us needs failure?

Why waste youre talent on idiots?

howard, i got the impression that whoever hired him, hired him for the event because he played flamenco.

most people who have heard the word flamenco, and have looked into hiring a flamenco guitarist don't confuse them with party bands

quote:

Nobady wants to hear that ****

nobody wants to hear yours either. i have a pearl of wisdom for you howard:

consider your audience, this isn't your personal poo slinging forum. if you want to talk about stuff in a nice way, freindly like, i'm sure we'd love to listen. nobody at this venue wants to listen to you spit bile at them.

I'm sorry you have a hard life. sorry you got laid off, and really very sorry your arm got burned. thats a tough break man. i realize things suck right now. maybe you should reconsider playing wedding gigs for a bit, maybe that might be a good bit of fun now that youre older and don't care what people think of your set list.

but, Florian works his ass off. he works at a job he hates. all the time. hard. sometimes, after work when he's dead tired, he gets to practice. and he practices, hard. he plays better than i ever will. he's got it rough, just like you man. a little respect for him might help. i gaurantee he will be one of the most useful sources of information that you can find. the only cost is your respect, and some decency.

he however does not rage about things and make bombastic proclamations and hold himself aloft as the mighty arbiter of judgement.

just simmer a bit, we'd like to get to know you. maybe you could even learn a bit about flamenco, and we can help you kick our asses. all we ask, is that you contribute what you know and that you respect everyone.

with your cooperation, and a smidge more diplomacy we'll have you on your way to having gerardo nunez open for you.

Howard. If you want to vent your anger at someone for your problematic life, go do it on some other site. This ones for guys with an interest in playing, building, teaching and discussing guitars mate.
I too, have for the last two years four months, not worked, had a tough time trying to play, short of cash etc, due to a nerve problem on my neck. I did'nt come in here slagging folk off, I used the site to try get back into the swing of things, and its helped me get back on the road to recovery again.
The guys on here, if you give them a chance are all great in their own way, you will learn much from them if you dont abuse them, and just get to know them on a friendly basis.
I'm writing this mail assuming you are the genuine article and not just another **** wishing to stir up trouble.
So, either enjoy, or just go somewhere else where the members like to abuse each other.
Now now guys - I dont mean that in a gay way

Howard. If you are the real thing. The advice about the Yamaha is good advice I'd say.
I bought one a year ago, and for the money it is a lovely instrument to get started on.

I mailed with Miguel a few times.
He lost his interest in flamenco, so he has no further interest here. And certain treads helped him to stop visiting the foro too.

Maybe Howard has shaken things up in a way that will bring positive change to the foro once things settle down and we have seen what can happen, 'I mean, after all we can't ignore that we are on a constantly changing forum. We can't possibly be here without seeing that we are all with our own faults, and perhaps we can now improve ourselves now seeing the worst in our selves in Howard. Maybe it was meant to be in a strange sort of cosmic purpose......I know I will be thinking about myself. Perhaps I will change the way I think of the forum.....It's a matter of respect for our fellow members, the forum, and ourselves. So lets get back into posting about the flamenco and the world of flamenco........that's why we are here on the foro isn' t it?

Howard cannot deny he has a problem with his on line persona. Otherwise I have respect for him, but you cannot deny what he has done or how he has come across to his fellow foro members. Otherwise I think with a little emphasis on encouragement he could turn out to be quite a wonderful member, but only if he wants to be. After all we all have our moments. And isn't the truth enough to turn anyone toward the real purpose in what is going on? Give him a chance but keep it in perspective. He has a right to his opinion, and he has certainly made it interesting around here.

@ Howard, just get into the flamenco! That's what it's all about around here, 'you don't need your own negativity, 'the foro forgives, and all you've got to see is that it's all about the flamenco around here and not about having an attitude......
