i got to thinking and it seems theres quite few people with axes to grind around here for whatever reason, and i figured we should make a dedicted thread where people can bring up their issues and have it out once and for all. this way ron doesnt have to run around putting out spot fires all over the foro when it spills out into different threds. we may as well have one controlled inferno, you could look at it like a backburn. i really think this is a good idea...really.

Luthier strings are so damn short, I know it is just to make more money because we can barely reuse the slack! I met a guy that had an endorsement with Luthier, and his bass strings were SUPER LONG!

dude, i totally dont have that problem, what series are you using?
i switched to d'addario composites for my trebles. the hybrid g string is ultra dry sounding, and the e and b are round enough for me to play sor etudes without getting funny looks lol.
luthier basses are long enough for my guitar, maybe you have a gigantar lol

I said REUSE the slack. That means, after they die, I slide em back and they sound like new each gig, until I run out of slack. Luthier, I get one time, turn em around backwards (2x really) and that is it. I am poor, so I recycle. Better for the earth too. La Bella and Daddario give lots of slack so you can reuse them a lot.
Ricardo
OH, my other petty grievence, Dominic should NOT be allowed to START new threads!

I am happy to report that I am a completely happy man with no unfulfiled desires or needs. I don't feel the need to be better in any respect, nor am I unsatisfied with the world around me. The only time I almost lost my inner peace was when I found out that guitarbuddha login name was already taken...

i would suggest to ricardo, alittle isopropyl alcohol will knock down some of the grime on them strings. i get a good solid couple weeks out of the basses sounding snappy and bright that way.
in another life i was a guitar tech lol. actually i stopped after i got tendonitis and tore some ligaments lol, so not that long ago. but it was either isopropyl or wd 40 and then isopropyl. after every use.

Good idea Dominic. Do you mean issues concerning the foro and foro members, or things as mentioned in the replies above.
I thought I´d ask before I unleash the beast.
well at first i thought foro related greivences, but i didnt think of making it any greivence at the time. its a great idea. any old greivence bring it in here and vent.this is a very healthy thing to do, youre a phscycolgist ailsa, what do you think?
RE: the petty greivence thread...don... (in reply to Guest)
i hate dancers who have no idea about making theyre palmas sound musical, like when youre doing a falseta and they just clap the same all the way thru it and dont go softer or louder and follow the dynamics of the music at all and kill it.

I hate it how you change your strings to make a nice new recording, and by the time you practice it and get it better and are ready to record it, the strings sound old again
I hate the fact that noones invented strings that dont lose sound quality yet.

Also when i play soccer against my friends and win, i hate people who are bad sports and dont allow me the full extent of my victory by not getting angry at me when i tease them about losing.

all right now where getting somewhere. wheres our resident phycologist(ailsa) when you need her? (crawling up into the fetal position in the corner of the room may help)

I hate it that I use the forum to get rid of my frustrations, when I have some stress in my REAL life. It´s so childish. Especially with the easily scoring I usually do. Picking on people´s sincere intentions. And making fun of things I really appreciate in REAL life.

2 weeks ago there was this party and i played some guitar in front of them (there were some people i knew and also other people whom i didnt know) and there was this nice girl whom i liked and wanted to impress LoL....so i played the most difficult stuff i know and everybody was just like bored ****less. Specially the girl was talking to her friend the whole time and not even looking at me. I was totally pissed. Then i started some gypsy king Rumba stuff and everybody were like: yeaaaahhh..this is flamenco ......Fu.ck them all and f.uck that b.itch.

I hate people who are more witty than me making a point of it. At a loss for words I want to break their noses.
I hate walking on eggshells - not only in flamenco. Bulls@!itting has become common courtesy. I'll never know what ANYBODY (except maybe my wife) really thinks about what I do or who I am. Sometimes it makes me want to climb up on top of a building with a machine gun
I hate cheaters and swindlers trying to take my money and my things. There's been a huge wave of them in this area lately. They all must be tied to a post so I can punch and kick them as long as I want to.
I hate ... hating ( oh my God shoot him)

You must accept people for their ignorance I'll be in a flamenco/pop group next year. I'll have all the flamenco people turning their nose up at me. I'll be making more money and having fun though so I don't care. I was talking to a great flamenco guitarist in Sanlúcar who was from the US and asked him how many of his gigs were flamenco - he said 3-4 a year. It's the hard truth ... in my case you can say "Fu.ck them all and f.uck that b.itch" after they've paid for the show
