ok intresting. I never played high-bridged low actioned guitars. Maybe in that case, the attenuation of the fretbuzz will cause the decrease of volume.

What's the break angle?
The angle the string makes between the Bone saddle, and the tie block (top of the bridge). A lower bone, makes a less steep break angle. Hope you can visualize it.
