Cajon

I was just watching a programme on the roots of Scottish music from the old Trad stuff up to modern times and noticed that a band was using a cajon which the guy played with one hand and a "brush" drumstick in the other.
Sounded good.
The cajon seems to be at just the right level of intensity between just tapping your foot and a full drum kit for any kind of acoustic/folk music.
Interesting.

cheers,

Ron
