Do it Ailsa! I look forward hearing you play. I'm a beginner, and I posted a little clip of me playing solea a few months ago. Even though my playing was fuzzy, people didn't take swings at me as if i were a piñata.. actually they were really encouraging and pointed out some stuff i've kept in mind since then. so there's no need to be nervous about it :-)
i'll post a follow up on my soleares soon. i hope people will take their time to comment it as well. :D
On the other hand I really respect Ricardo's opinion, and as I've been playing now since April this year - all of 5 months - I'm not quite as good as pdl yet ......
Seriously thank you all for your encouragement. As you all know I am a very sharing person, and I will try to record something to upload.
Do it when you are ready Ailsa! I've been playing 5 years and I've never uploaded. Due to a mixture of Lazyness, Lack of eqiupment, over critical perfectionism and fear.
Encouragement?? Its seems to have turned into "peer pressure". "Go on upload, then try one of these cigarettes, go on, do it, do it, try it......"
Maybe you got it, but I think Ricardo was just making a little jibe at the recent Video/Audio thread.

Only upload if you want to. Don't listen to peer pressure and all the imitators/wanabees. Play your own music. Be yourself. That's flamenco. That's the beauty of it. We're all unique members of this musical art form. PDL, PDL... bla bla bla Vicente vicente bla bla Gerardo Gerardo bla bla. They are the benchmark and the inspiration. When you play I want to hear YOU! Come on create your own stuff. I started years ago doing it. Just sat down in a studio like a hibernating animal and started playing and jotting down ideas and eventually merged snippets together. The skill level will come in time.

@ Manzmann and d.eduardo - don't worry guys! I won't upload if I'm not happy to do so. But I will have a go at recording, because I might learn from listening back to what I'm doing. So it's a great suggestion anyway.

Right thing to do Ailsa, you do what you want to do, but then, we would all enjoy it so, I guess we will all have to be paitent.....as long as you're happy, that's all that matters! Gary
