Yes I was there too. The dancers were astonishing - absolutely inspirational, the cante was wonderful, and the guitarists were just so sure footed errrr..... sure handed? Well anyway, it seemed to me that it was so effortless for them, like they didn't need to do any macho showing off to prove how good they were, because it was just obvious they were brilliant.

Anyone else see Paco P at Sadlers Wells this week?

I'm so jealous! =( I wish Paco Pena would come to the United States. I may just have to come to London to see him. He's my favorite player!

Luckily my brother is living in London now so I might just have to take a trip =)

Hi Kate,

how is the life in Granada, is it always fiesta&siesta?

once I am closing my eyes and trying to remaind Granada, I always see the lovely miradors, and people enjoying the view and playing guitarr

.....and snow on palms in March two years ago

can't wait till I will go there again,
we used to choose Granada, because my boyfriend and other chaps are paraglider and they were flying there - MAD!!!

Hi Hcania

Only just saw your reply and yes Granada is as dreamy as ever and yes life is pretty much siesta and fiesta. No snow right now but amazing African winds that have covered the city with sand. Not good weather for paragliding I've had to tie all my plants to the terrace to stop them flying away.

Yeah, I saw that Saharan sand passing over Tangiers toward Spain on Friday. It missed us in the valley but hit the city I guess.

Wow another friend said the same thing, that you could see it coming. Its strange weather, 18 % humidity and 97 F and the wind is so hot. Last night on the terrace it felt like the tropics.

He's playing in Toronto in January, so he must be going to the States too. Maybe it's on his website

It's crazy in the valley too; really weird like the end of the World.

Excuse to post a photo from my shiny new Canon G7 (great little camera) of last Wednesday evening as we entered Tangiers.

You can see the sand starting to build up south of the city. The ferry was stuck in port for hours on the return trip - barf was everywhere
