flamenco guitar training in Spain - ...
I would like to visit Spain for several weeks in Spring or Summer 2008 to take in flamenco first hand, and to further my study of the flamenco guitar. I would classify myself as "intermediate-advanced" level (grade 4) in flamenco guitar. Opportunities for accompaniement is one of my objectives, the other objectives are to immerse myself in flamenco, Spanish culture, and practice Spanish language skills. My question is this: Can anyone recommend a good instructor or school setting in Jerez del a Frontera/Moron, Malaga, Cadiz, Sevilla, possibly Madrid? I found several instructors/schools on the internet in which I am uncertain, however, recommendations from members here would be far more valuable to me. I would contemplate going during the annual festival in Sevilla. Affordable accomodations is also a consideration. Thanks. Larry
