Which Songs to Accompany

I'd like to try a little bit of cante accompainment.

Can anyone recommend any particular songs which are easy to accompany?
And perhaps also tell which chords are used?

Thanks Ricardo.

For Jason's stuff one needs the Quicktime player, which doesn't work on my computer. I don't know why.
But I have the Merengue de Cordoba DVD where he explains cante accompainment.

Could you tell me an Alegria from a specific album which is easy to do? Or doesn't it really matter which one I choose?

Greetings Georg

When you go directly to Jason's site, you can listen to it without quicktime.

Hi GuxDiBux,

try Sevillanas first - it's not pure flamenco, but a very good starting point. After half year of messing around trying to master tirititran part of Alegrias, I switched to Sevillanas, and this made sense immediately. You find yourself able to accompany others or yourself singing and/or dancing.

Hint: Don't understimate the 'simple' Sevillanas rasgeo pattern, practice with metronome and work on the sound.

Sevillanas - Trad. - Mírala Cara a Cara

Intro
/: Am / Am / E / Am :/

1.

Am F E Am
Mírala cara a cara, qué es la primera.
Am
Es la primera,
A7 Dm
Mírala cara a cara, qué es la primera.
E Am
Mírala cara a cara, qué es la primera.

Es la primera,
A7 Dm
y la vas seduciendo a tu manera,
E Am
y la vas seduciendo a tu manera.

Estribillo:
A7 Dm
Esa gitana,
Am
esa gitana,
F7 E
esa gitana,
F7 E
se conquista bailando,
Am
por Sevillanas.

Thanks,

didn't realize your post until now.

Trying Sevillanas is no bad idea, I guess.
