Has anybody ever used this rosewood;

Siam Rosewood/dalbergia cochinchinensis.

Any comments on it?

I've never used it, but I've cut some into bridge blanks. There's a local tonewood supplier here who imports it and it seems to be very popular with local builders. I think he got a contract to supply Gibson or Martin. The stuff is incredibly hard and heavy and doesn't smell too nice when resawing. It apparently isn't too difficult to bend and looks amazing under French polish. I've tried a couple of negras made with Siam rosewood and liked what I heard.
