Flamenco for me, expresses the tragical and dramatical excistence of men, with all it's joy and sadness. I see it as an expression of how humans experience there life. This what real music should do and that's why most of us live flamenco and not just hear it. But indeed the music is very difficult en hard to listen to for a long time. But man what a joy if you, for some reason, had to miss your flamenco recordings and than hear them again.....
Flamenco is also a very powerfull something and lots of aficionado's around the world have to experience it alone, that's very frustrating imo. (I'm from belgium by the way )
i think flaminco is playin your gitar as hard and loud as you can, then shoutin ole aftrwards but its not that easie you got to know 2 or 3 cords and if u dont cross yor legs the rite way ppl will larf at u and if u play 4 cantay the singa will shout and scream so loud that noone will here u and i dont undrstand y the dancin womin stamp they feet so much like they havin a fit but yes flaminco is like that i think thats wot i like about it anyways

I never realized this was a comedy/joke thread...(Forgive an old man) Apologies,
I don't think it was meant to be, it just worked out that way.
Sorry gato..
Again no direspect, and i dont wanna speak for anyone other than myself but man we have covered that subject to death, only too recently.
I think we need about 6 months still just to recover from the arguments and hurt feelings and name callings
dont let the polite conversation foul you, this place is pretty wild.
just hang around for the next Juan Martin thread and cancel your daily activities, its great, its like a car accident, you dont wanna see it but you cant look away
Did someone already say it's leaving your homeland forever, having only your (extended) family to rely on, living in squalor and being persecuted under a fsacist regime, being treated as a subhuman outsider and finding solace in folk music? Sorry if they did, don't mean to flog a dead horse
flamenco is like banging un ugly chick. people may hang sh*t on you for it later, but u know u had fun at the time ....uhhh actually its not like that at all.
