1977 Francisco Barba "1A" ...

Hi;

I have a 1977 Francisco Barba "1A" Flamenco guitar for sale @ Ebay.

( Just click on the auction link below...)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=280125585702&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT&ih=018

The guitars' specifications are as follows :

Spanish Cedar Soundboard

Royal Spanish Cypress back & sides

Ebony Fingerboard

Brazillian Rosewood Friction Pegs

655 mm. scale length

53 mm. Nut width

2.5 mm. from top of the 12th fret to underside of bass "E" string ; 2 mm. on treble "e" string

French Polish Finish / Lacquered Top

Weight : 2.5 lbs. ( WOW ! )

This guitar is in all excellent, original condition. The only exception is a repaired hairline crack running along the lower treble side of the bridge along the lower treble bout. It has been cleated, & the repair is solid. No worries there. The soundboard has been professionally refinished in lacquer. The golpeadore appears to have been replaced at that time as well.

The Cedar Top is beautiful & tightly straight grained.

The friction pegs work very well. There is a chip missing from the bass "E" peg , but it works fine & is hardly noticeable.

It also features a beautiful & unusual solid brass inlay on the bridge. Very elegant !

The ebony inlay on the back of the neck is also unusual for a guitar like this. This extra ebony reinforcement creates a very stable & straight fingerboard !

This guitar is amazingly lightweight; extremely lightweight !

A true joy to hold !

Guitar comes with a deluxe hardshell case.

$5500.00 USD$ OBO , plus shipping

Feel free to email me at : elkabong@mts.net for more info & pictures.

Thank you;
Rudy Kessen
