Its not that expensive to go to Andalucia from Madrid by bus. takes 4 - 6 hours depending on where you go, and a return ticket is 30 - 40 euros. You can also go by fast train which is a lot more expensive but very relaxing.
Looks like if and when this is done, Spain will have to be the place then. I'm surprised by the amount of support for the idea. Realistically it would probably have to be in a couple of years to give everyone the opportunity to make plans, set calenders and most importantly, save the cash. Plus, Gabriel will need the extra time to come up with an idea for his tribute to Todd tattoo

...but nothing that spectacular. I did make a T-Shirt myself featuring a picture of PDL, and I wear it to go to college occasionally. But I think there could be some real nice ones featuring the greats like Camaron, PDL, Sabicas, etc. For me a ForoFlamenco shirt would HAVE TO feature one of these guys (or something along those lines) on the front, and maybe the FF logo on the back.
Generally, though, I think this sort of thing is maybe frowned upon by Flamencos because they might think its superficial and not really to do with the music.
But I have to admit... an El Nino Miguel shirt with that old picture of him with his sideburns would be cool

Gabriel, you can never have too many tattoos! Next spring or summer would be good but may not be enough time to save up the cash. Summer in Spain is brutal no? Makes no difference to me. Winter, Spring, Summer, I'm in. Texas summers are nothing cozy either so I'm used to a little heat.
Maybe your right but I don't know if i can wait that long, maybe we could have 2 ForoFlamenco meatings, one at a sooner date and one at a later date. To be realistic I think 6 to 9 months would be great but for the second maybe 18 months or so. Then we could have the second one be a two week trip with shows workshops private lessons and parties where us newbies get to try and play with some real experienced Flamencuras.

During the Fall, Winter and Spring my be difficult. Work and if you have kids, they are in school as many here attend school as well. I think perhaps the summer even though it WILL be hot, may be the best time. Most vacations are taken during this time off. If it ends up being during the other seasons I will do my best to make arrangements to go then.
I'll be there, me ond anders... local onsite rpair men , set ups for free etc. seriously , would be a good idea to meet, esp in spain. La herradura is nice!
