News Feed

Well, I got bored - 6 days in bed with the flu' So I wrote a news ticker which you can see at the top of the page.

It is scouring the headlines from more than 4,000 sources, harvested every 15 minutes for the word "flamenco".

Some of the matches may not be relevant and you may not be able to read the original if it requires a subscription.

Be aware that it starts over from the beginning on every new page load.

Let me know if you have any difficulties.

Work tomorrow

Simon,
Thats actually a really cool idea. I would suggest possibly using the search word "Spain" but I think we would end up getting some political stuff that may be OT. Seriously though, you must be having fun coming up with all these new things to do with the site and though I dont talk much I will say I am impressed.

Thanks, I tried Spain and we got stuff on dams and football teams. The feed is not "officially" free but I'll look into it.

I am trying to get feeds from related flamenco sites like deFlamenco, flamenco-world etc. on special offers, new CD releases, articles etc. which I believe will be more relevant to us and may generate a little revenue in time.
