Need Help in Shaping My Fingernails

Hi everyone,

I really need help to see examples of fingernails shape of the right hand to understand how I do mine. Because I am so confused! Do I have to shape the right side of my nail and make the angel to the left or I do the opposite?

Is it worthy to buy an educational book to teach me how to do it?

So if you can post me any picture or video or advice, I will be appreciated.

Thanks a lot,

Guitarist

Buy the "PUMPING NYLON" video. It is easy to find and relatively cheap. He demonstrates and explains it quite well.

Hi Guitarist,

A possobility is to fould sandpaper over your strings at the right hand side, and "play" apreggio or stringcrossing picado, so you see the place the nail worns out.

That way you know the angle you touch your strings. And you can shape them at the right form.

( If you fould the sandpaper cross the strings, the sandpaper is foulded like an harmonica.)

Good Luck!
Peter

Hi gerundino63

Thanks for your advice, it was really helpful. I did the "Picado" and noticed my angle should be to right of my fingernails. Lot of thanks Peter …

Ricardo, I thought the "Pumping Nylon" for classical guitarists only! But I will read more about it. I appreciate your help …
