Estela, Melchor, Phil - coming to Jerez
I may be down in Jerez for Jan 10th-13th with my beautiful niece for her 16th birthday - she wants to try on a flamenco dress for a photo call.
What are the chances - can we meet up so she can go clubbing and I can keep an eye on her? You guys going to be around for a few laughs and maybe a pena?

Simon, Melchor is supposed to be in town at that time. If it is humanly possible, I'll try to meet you during your stay. As I mentioned before, I don't actually live in Jerez and I work irregular hours. Do you have a hotel reserved? If not, go to El Carbonero's web site www.escuelaguitarracarbonero.com and check out El Nuevo Hotel's web site. Also, I understand the San Andres is very nice and reasonably priced.

Count on me. Where there is a juerga there I am. You are coming on Saturday, sure there must be flamenco in some peñas. I can meet you in Jerez when you arrive so you can have a look to the hotels you like most. The one Phil has recommended is not bad and the price is quite good.
Un saludo
Melchor
