I think the guy gets too involved in flying fingers, but doesn't have the same effect as Tomatito etc playing far simpler stuff.....but he's still pretty young. However he does have great timing and towards the end comes up with some lovely falsetas that are world class. I think he'll move on to become a really major name in Flamenco as he matures. I've become a big fan of him after watching the "Finland" videos.
cheers
Ron
So...are the "Dreadlocks" out now...and the "Short Back and Sides" in? (I need to know for my next video..)

Es muy simpatico though... That's what I like about Jeronimo (after the "Finland" tapes) That's what a lot of people thought about Serranito too... Just something about the guy and his music that you just love and can't really explain why...
cheers
Ron

Niklas had a workshop with jeronimo in finland(the lucky bugga) and was kind enough to give share some videos he took of it. Im sure if u want a copy u could get your hands on it, theyre pretty cool.
lol...i had to choose one or the other, i went with ren. Hey Romerito, i tried to send u a pm but your inbox is full it said and cant send, emty your messages man!!! (trying to work out how to get that video to u)
I just love Jeronimo's music. Love it. I don't know if he is ahead of his time because for me is amazingly obvious. Just listen. Very, very few, come even close to his composer skills. Profound, deep, soul searching, in search, always, of the truth, that impossible goal. Of course, he's fantastically skilled and in his own way terribly innovative, but not just for the sake of it, the music demands it. Just wonder how many dimensions he can climb in his music. And how movingly.
It's just a matter of time and time will tell. His music will be remembered many years ahead when much of his contemporaries' will vanish in the air. He's being himself playing and the changes will come from inside. Of course, if you don't get it, or like it, you have many guitarists to choose from. Make your pick. But please don't spoil somebody truly original who offers what some people are looking in music: trascend and get us as close as possible to the truth, this is to say, pure Beauty. I really hope his music changes but the way it's changing right now. He's in another league because his music is really inspirational. You may not like him, but I think that to tell an artist what music should play, it´s a bit... I don't know... daring.
In youtube you can check it by yourself (it's not neccessary to examine his fingers, no matter how incredible are, just listen, listen) either by Zapateado, Rondeña, Solea, with his brother Leo, paying tribute to Mingus, Seguiriya, Bulerias, accompanying Arcangel by Taranta.... It's just a bit of a shame that the image (angles and quality are not the best) or sound is not perfect. Never mind. All is in there.
