I have always wonderd why there are so few preformance vids/DVD of Camarón with Pdl? Also Pdl in his teens/20s/30 etc There must be 1000 hours of film. But where? and why doesn´t He relise it on DVD.
I´d love to seen Paco at 19 playing solo conserts. or camarón and Paco around -70 -75.

RE: Where´s all the Camaron/pdl Videos? (in reply to duende)
Only thing I have seen was that TV spot where paco played some solos, then Camaron did bulerias, then Paco did entre dos aguas. And there was that bootleg audio from tristeazul or something, of Paco and Camaron in a Pena. But honestly, I am not sure that they played out very much in places that recorded. That footage of them in the studio would be cool, but not very commercial, and it would reveal quite a bit about studio and recording editing. Perhaps that is like the home movies you never want folks to see?
If you read any bios on Paco, you might have read how after he and camaron got popular, Paco did not like getting more acknowledgment than the cantaor he accompanied. It was embarrasing he said, so he only played solo or accompanied his brother live for many years. Of course he did studio recordings and little cameos. Perhaps there may be some footage locked away or forgotten about made at the time of Rito y Geografia. (You see Paco and Camaron hanging out a lot in that series). But after that time, I dont' think you will find anything. But who knows?

But the strangest thing is..theres obviously plenty of odl fotage from 30-50s in various documentarys. I even found a video showing the first ever (it said) filmed flamenco ever on film.
Paco and Camarón was the Beatles of flamenco, it´s sooo unbeliveble that nobody would have captured them.

Camaron performed more often with other players, like Ramon, Cepero, etc. Paco played a lot of solo stuff on TV, but recorded with SO MANY singers. But he did not PERFORM often with them. See the difference? I am not so surprised. But I am sure there is SOME stuff somewhere from the era, just not pro TV studio stuff. Even in Rito with PACO RIGHT THERE, Cepero is playing for Camaron.
