Question on Guitar Insurance

Hi there,

Do you insure your guitar? How does it work? What does it cover?

The only thing I know is that home insurance covers upto $2000 if any thing happens to your guitar at home and only at home. For example, damage by fire, got stolen. But if your kids pees on it that not covered.

In Germany there are 1 or 2 insurance companies for musical instruments, refering to all important things like theft, damage etc. I don´t thing they offer their conditions in English. If you are interested, then I will check it for you. But give me a few days to react.

Saludos
Bernd

I have mine insured with Musicguard, cover is fairly comprehensive like being covered against theft if you have your guitar in your car et cetera.
