I got it down already. There's nothing to it. He uses some sneaky tricks btw. Which make the switch from strumming to picado ( and vice versa) a lot easier.

The tempo needs work of course. I guess he's playing that rumba for ages already so it's impossible to do it the same in one day.

Btw. Did you hear him speak on that buleria mp3. He excuses for being on tour, been in the airplane for 5 hoours bla, bla.

So I suggest we start our upload with some excuses too.
Like, well after the concert I met this beautiful woman, but she hit me on both the eyes and now I have to play this rumba blind.

i have a LOT of other things i need to work on!(like my compas/groove in buleria)

but you and koella should see who can learn it first, add more of a challenge to it. First to upload their own version of 'la feria' wins. How about you tckulzek, you should do a version too. Even better Flo, do the original for tckulzek then do a version with your own flavour and make it yours. (try make it sound more modern, maybe put some jazzy picado runs in it)

I have a better proposition for you ..

I listened to la feria, i cant stand it it drives me insaine

, i started learning some of the tab but i dont have the drive for it.

How about if i transcribe something form a more recent album of his and do it ?

I heard a farucca intro i dont mind so much "leonardo's head of crist "

i dont mind the intro and i can transcribe it and give u a copy too

or anything anything but a rumba , any Palo

will u accept it ?

can i still come to Poland if i do ?

Sure.. I understand you can dislike it :)
Transcribe something which you like. I like his Rondena. Choose everything you want (the rondena is good - its name is Aurora).. just let it have a good flamenco hard feeling. It'll be nice to hear it. For me, whatever is Juan's technique and all other stuff, he is an expert in playing very emotionally and has good hard flamenco tone. He can tell the story, that's what I like.
Tell me the good flamenco story and you can come to Poland and tell some stories to others ;)
Dominic could also come, and tell some monkey stories.. We can build a monkey statue. Dominic, have you seen karate monkey video?

yet it is, but i have 3 shows with that guitarist from Melbourne Kieran and Fernando and Werner at the start of next month so i need to work on the music for now.

Have you decided which one your going to work out? lol

Actually i think it would be cool if somehow we all decided on a falseta, not JM, and not necessarily too technically difficult (then more people can enter), and who ever wants to, can work it out and add their own flavour to it, record it and upload it. Then put up a poll (i wanna do the poll, me, mee) and everybody can vote whos version they liked the most.

what do u think?

Why would anyone want to play that friggin rumba, it sucks!

Juan Martin has done some beautiful interpretations of Montoya and Ricardo that is a lot better than that showoff piece of XXXX.
