Here's a tab for you. There's a lack of 1st page, but it's the funny strumming part missing.. The end of it is on the 2nd page, you'll get it from the first verse and youtube.com La Feria video. It's one of the easiest pieces, but I haven't got anything else tabbed.
I can your performance to Juan Martin and then send his comment back here. He's at home now, so he's got some time to watch it (hear it), if you wish of course.
RE: Challenge for Florian - "La... (in reply to tluczek)
Just got back from a club and i am drunk but u got it
i will check it out
I would prefer it if u didnt show Juan Martin beacuase my beef is not with him but with those that insult forum members here for him just because they say they dont like his music..
but i dont care either way if u have to u have to.
when i do do it tho u will have to say after me tho" Any member of this forum can openly express theyr true feelings about any cd they may purchase, with out me saying they are not wordy enough to do so, including JM"
RE: Challenge for Florian - "La... (in reply to Florian)
Well... I can say it even right now, but to those who listened to the CDs before criticising. I just don't like calling him circus player, the guy who only does some spectacular rumbas and nothing else or talking about him as a cheater, liar, etc. (like Gitano said).
This rumba is not that hard to play (though there are some semi-hard accords), so play it at least with similar expression, tempo and feeling he does (including the accurate strumming technique with the same effect). The audio from studio record is here: http://www.icpnet.pl/~tluczek/juan/ I place two recordings - one from studio from CD Musica Alhambra(but with a group who play so loud at the end, that you can't hear the guitar, so use the ending from other audio file - Martins 4 - Rumba Nostalgica and La Feria). I also put Bulerias of Juan played live in radio, without sound equipment ;) Not that complex, but played really hard.

Flo, Sounds good idea man!...
I'm all up for it if you want to take this piece on.
As you know I don't read or write tabs. I learn things phonically. If it's of any help to you, it goes like this...
Da Da Da Dara Di Ri.. Da Da Da Dara Di Ri... (Try to sound more positive in this phrase) Di Di Di De Dum de Dum... Di Di Di De Dum de Dum... Da Da Da Dara Di Ri.. Da Da Da Dara Di Ri.. ( Again, make this sound more up beat) Di Di Di De Dum de Dum... Di Di Di De Dum de Dum..
(You can keep this going for as long as you want, then finish in a BIG "OLÉ" Rasgeado!!!)
Got it?
Now, the next part is basically the same, just move the key up a bit so the punters don't get too bored...
Observe strict 4/4 Compás throughout.
That's the best I can do Flo, sorry..
cheers
Ron

Jeez I knew the rumba already. But now I heard that radio-live buleria.
Tzuclek. If you would have posted this buleria saying it was you who played it, I would have said "great job, nice buleria"
But knowing that this is mr JM himself ???
I give you an advice. remove the upload. I don't think JM will be amused by the fact that you upload this intermediate buleria full of mistakes, floating tempos and insecure compas.
RE: Challenge for Florian - "La... (in reply to koella)
hey florian, while your at it why dont you learn a ottmar number to. After that all you need is 14 more rumbas and you can sell an album with free steak knifes too.
RE: Challenge for Florian - "La... (in reply to koella)
damn... I have to admit that's not the best one I could upload for this forum (it was placed near the la feria, so I put it on). You're right... tempos are floating a little bit, I'm not sure about the compas but there are some notes which could be played more accurate. I still like the tone and his hard style of playing. I hate modern girly-like, jazzy flamenco players.
If you put them in front of you and told them to play, you'd barely hear them playing. That's not flamenco for me. I prefer even if the tone is false, but I want to hear it well.
I won't take off the upload, but I'll put on the tarantas later on (video from a concert). Hope it'll be better for you.
RE: Challenge for Florian - "La... (in reply to tluczek)
This is gonna be just like the showdown at the end of 'the good, the bad, and the ugly' aayyiaaayyiaaaa, aaa, aaa, aaa, aayyiaaayyiaaaa, aaa, aaa, aaaaaaahhhh,
(i used to love the guitar line in that music) dung dung dung, dung dung, dung dung.... dung... dunga na dung, nang a na dung, nang a na dung (iforgot the rest)

tluczek
I am guessing you dont win that many bets lol. I am saying u can pick anything of his and u pick the eaziest of his, atlist do the guy justice and pick something a litlle harder of his. give me the name of the piece and i can see if i find it.
CMon man i love an eazy bet but even this is too eazy, u hurting his reputation more with this uploads more then anything anyone of us has ever might have ever said togheder and even tho i dont like his music I really dont wanna do that cause i respect that the books he has done for beginners are very well organised.
SO atlist represent the guy a litlle better.
take time and pick something else if u want or give me the name and il look for it.
and if i can suggest .. if u really care about Juan Martin id remove those audios because while that might impress the general public and beginner guitarists, is not doing his cause a hole lot of justice here (and i am not saying this to be mean, i realize anyone can have a bad day and its hard doing a buleria life without compas whatever)
i dont get into his music but I dont enjoy seeing him potraied this badly either.
RE: Challenge for Florian - "La... (in reply to Florian)
The 1st page is the beginning of the strumming. It's just a combination of different chords than on the beginning of the 2nd page. - here you can see the 1st page at the beginning.
Don't complain Florian :) I got the strumming from it, so you can make it too. Clap the open hand on the strings, do upstroke with all 4 fingers from this position, then downstroke mowing hand closer to the fretboard and upstroke with the thumb and again clap the strings closer to the fretboard, and coming back ;) It's a good wrist practice. You can help yourself with 4th finger to stop the strings. I didn't get where Juan does it exactly, but maybe you can see it on the youtube video and compare it with transcription somehow.
According to the transcription versus the studio recording, there's not that much difference, all the things from the transcription are played somewhere out there. You'll make it..
RE: Challenge for Florian - "La... (in reply to tluczek)
hahaha
hey good news i found his studio recording so how about il just play as he does it there and i start from where my transcription starts ?

i will take your chalenge but i am not going on a wild goose chase here, that should be plenty to get my point across.
after all i dont plan on ever playing it again after
RE: Challenge for Florian - "La... (in reply to tluczek)
do it like it's in a transcription, if you correct JM's mistakes, maybe it could be even better. You could put it on youtube also and get 24000 views, like he did. Then you could prove the whole world that you're Godlike like Juan is. You can post it also as a video response to Juan's LaFeria. And remember about good tags for the search engine: sexy guitar flamenco :)
Btw. why doesn't everyone learn to play La Feria. Maybe we could do group La Feria? Some good marketing and the forum will be worldwide famous.
