Manuel Reyes Hijo

Does anyone know how much it costs a Manuel Reyes Hijo from the shop? What is the waiting list?

Thanks, Mike

Also, has anyone tried it? Is it as good as the Manuel Reyes Papa?

The workshop of Manuel Reyes Hijo has a waiting time of about 3-4 years at the moment.

There is also a ex-student of Manuel Reyes, who builts guitars in the same way as Manuel Reyes Sr. did. His workshop is 20 km outside of Sevilla. Many professionals here in Sevilla buy his guitars at the moment. His name is Torres.
He plays the flamenco guitar also very good. His prices start at about USD 2.900 for a cypress guitar.

I have played his guitars. They are very near to the Manuel Reyes guitars.
Absolutely great sound and perfect playability.
But he only builds about 6 to 8 guitars in a year. Waiting list is about 3 months at the moment.

I ordered one but when it was ready I rejected it for shoddy workmanship and poor intonation.

Was that the one you were trying to sell on the forum a while ago?

No, there are a lot of good guitar makers without a website. But I can send you the phone number, if you want. I can also call Mr. Torres, if you need some further informations.

I have bought one of his cypress guitars in May this year,
and I am playing it every night here in Sevilla. It has this real flamenco soul and sounds better then my Bellido. Torres is at the moment top secret newcomer here in Andalucia. I think the prices will grow soon.
