New Mexico here I come ( movie) 1 votes

Got a call today from my friend in Sante Fe who is a Flamenco dancer, not the best in the world or anything but he knows people. He is flying me down there in 2 weeks to participate in a movie called Gyspy Road. I'm sure that I'm not the showcase Guitarist but they are giving me a spot in the movie.

I don't know all the details untill tonight the next day but, you know probably a B movie.

Plus I'll be able to take some private lessons from Chuscales, who I think is one of the best. And play for some dancers and all that, I'm not sure what the set list is but I think I have to play with another guitar player a Cajon player and for some Dances in the movie.

Just when your going down and you decide to stay positive, a good thing happens.

Needless to say I'm super exited.

Some would say that I could use some lessons anyway.

I hope not, I've learned that good Flamencos never put any crap on there heads.

I should just have a freshly shaved head and throw in some Sepultura Falsetas in there, maybe even a Slayer Falseta, yehhhhhhhhhhhhhshhhhhsss .

I'll just tune my guitar to a low A and be like the new breed of Flamenco hardcore ...

Good for you Edgar. Exciting and the weather should be about perfect then. We've been getting an unusual amount of rain.

Seems like SF has been getting quite a few movie productions in the past couple of years, mostly Westerns, IIRC.

I would love to. However, I'm taking physical therapy daily now, M-F (serious back & neck issues) and it's hard for me to drive any distance much at all. I have an orthopedic re-evaluation on the Aug 31 and should know more following that. It is getting better, thankfully and hopefully he will allow me to return to some normal activity. I'm trying to avoid surgery. Old war injuries coming back to haunt me as I get older.

3 more days and I'm outta here. Chusco called me back and he is going to be in town while I'm there, so I can get some private lessons.
