Cool gig!
I know people like to make fun of people who play at weddings, but I personally enjoy it. I was recently booked for a wedding gig, and I'll have to play Pachelbel's Canon, etc. during the ceremony. But this will actually be the first _out-of-state_ gig I will have ever played!
The client has booked a charter plane, an 8-person jet, and I will ride with them to a fancy-schmansy place in Nevada. Then we're going to do the ceremony and the reception on a boat. Then we'll return home to Phoenix.
This will be a fun year. By the end of it, I'll have played in a stretch limo with a bunch of women, played for a teen beauty pageant, and flown in a Learjet to and from a gig! I just need to make sure I get some pictures of me leaving the plane so it looks like I'm a rock star or something, with my guitar...
By the way, new picture on my website! http://migueldemaria.com. I did a photo shoot and got some really great stuff for the CD and promotional materials. It's really fun to work with a good photographer who can make anyone look good.
Dude you look pretty freaking flamenco. But maybe you need some darts put in the back of the shirt to give it that tapered look. ...unless you've got a paunch like me, then the shirt's hiding it really well.
Ivan, Miguel is married I think. So I think it's only right that he pass on any women he meets to us. I call first dibbs.
